Remember your old school pals whom you use to play and argue with? Out of the bunch you choose a few who walk along with you further making no promises but actually an invisible agreement of no matter where and how it is, we keep in touch.
When you reach the age 20+ a few date while a few get married and get settled. When you move to 25+ and suddenly you hear good news come along, and I wondered for myself of where am I heading? Though I have never been worried much about the same because I do put a lot of faith in God. But still there is something in your heart that asks you what do want from your life (and maybe I will have answers for it soon).
One of best friend Ranjita Sharma got married 2 years back and left the town for good, and I must confess that I have really missed her. The pani puri gatherings, the long phone calls (read gossips), her coming to my showroom just to pass out summer afternoons, discussing cooking recipes (as if we were some great chef in discussion), and ofcourse talking fashion and sharing shopping tips .... We use to meet and talk everyday still it felt like there is so much to talk yet.... such is friendship.
So now Ranjita Sharma is a mother of a cute little daughter Myrah, she was in Ahmedabad to meet her in laws and it was the time to re-connect (excitement can't be hidden).
We met at Ishita’s office (one of same old school friend), we were upset with her (Ranjita) to make us wait for almost 2 hours but a look at Myrah and we knew the air of frustration blew away....
Motherhood changes a girl’s soul and apparently my friend changed too.... Tenderness on face, calmness in voice, the way she hold her child.... I adored how beautiful the bond was that she shared with her daughter. The usual stylish Ranjita was in simple clothes that dint put her daughter in discomfort while she holds her, her funky bags no more in her hands instead a huge blue bag that had all the belongings of the little one. No other stories except Myrah and her presence in life.
Holding a new born is such bliss, I still remember how my sweet little Myra smelled. She brought me a never ending smile and her presence was so angelic.... We girls ended up talking about the cute one all the time and forgot else things. And I must not forget to appreciate Vipul (Ranjita's husband) who was such a gentleman to leave us girls on our own to catch up, but as I said we just couldn't talk more but Myrah and also I shouldnt forget to thank him here to click pictures which are now memories those would be treasured forever.
Meeting Myrah was a delightful experience, can’t wait to see her again...
