Movie review of Cocktail.

Trailers of Cocktail made me swear to watch it on its first day.

But thanks to the fans of bollywood the movie was running housefull in all theatres, finally got a shot working for us and managed to get a movie ticket of an evening show.

Traffic was unexpectedly crazy, the highway that doesn't faces any traffic but only in Navratri was jam packed. Me and my sister were terrified cause we dint even had tickets in hand it was supposed to be collected form the window. We doubted if we could reach on time but after 45 minutes of being into the jam (on the route which is hardly of 8 to 10 minutes from my home) we reached 10 minutes late. Oh yes did I forget to mention that we were being gazed for running around in the corridor like some crazy freaks.... hahahaha (btw who cares ;) )

Ok now here's review of Cocktail.

Movie: The usual triangle story (ofcourse you can say that after watching the trailor). A few one liners and the dialogue delivery save the movie. You would wonder why Gautam is attracted to Meera when he is already having fun with this girl Veronica or is bollywood trying to prove the old mommy drama; where no matter how modern girl a guy looks around for dating but when its about marriage and life time commitments he looks upto a desi girl who can cook him some aaloo paratha every morning. Grow up bollywood.
Music: Oh yes its groovy, but I wished that songs were utilized at their best in the movie. 'Angreji beat' is a catchy number and 'Jugni' brings me goosebumps (if played in my ipod). And also the missing background add on's kills the mood of the dialogues.

Script: Do not except anything from this movie, its just a good company for your favourite pack of pop corns.

Deepika Padukone: She has got this oomph factor and with time she has learned how to use it. She has definitely grown as an actor (if you remember her Om Shanti Om). She was styled perfectly in the movie knowing how to carry the attire she won the game. And also she had the right attitude for the character she was playing.

Daina Penty: All I can say her is 'Welome to Bollywood'. Another model turned actress who apparently wasn't given much dialogues (compared to her leads) well I guess they knew they dint wanted any loophole. Neither can she dance (ooopppsssss bollywood is all about dancing dear lady). Though her simple looks an still keep you hoping to see more of her work. Good luck girl.

Saif Ali Khan: My goodness his first impression was different and the very next moment he killed it himself. In few frames he looks too old for the ladies (unwanted visible wrinkles show his age most of the times). His acting and movies are of similar types so he was so much similar to his old flicks. Time to move on.

Waiting for rains to come and wash away the summer heat and dust from the streets and trees... Everything would be so green and new.
